Bega Kwa Bega is the phrased used to describe the partnership the St. Paul Synod has with the Iringa Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania (ELCT). The phrase means Shoulder to Shoulder in English, and it describes the way we accompany one another throughout life especially in a spirit of mutuality, inclusivity and vulnerability. The purpose is to have a joint community between the ECLA and the ELCT in order to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, extend Christian hospitality and to strengthen relationships through shared practices of prayer, presence and projects.
