Some of my favorite memories at Holy Cross have been helping out and hanging out with our youth. Whether it is teaching a lesson for the R.O.C.K. or being goofy on stage for VBS; the kids have always been there to lighten my spirits.
— Carson Jennings

Carson Jennings, High School Graduate

Carson is a familiar face to the younger members of Holy Cross.  He is the son of Jerry and Laurie Jennings.  The rest of his family consists of older brother David, Sister in law Ashley, nephew Brayden and Brayden’s little brother due to arrive in August, and younger brother Logan.  Two golden retrievers Reggie and Harley complete his family.

Carson is graduating from Tartan High School.  He says he has always loved being in theatre (both acting and the technical part) and he played tennis for Skyview and Tartan high school. He is proud of his academic accomplishments, which are now allowing him to join the honors program at Minnesota State University Morehead.

Carson has been an active volunteer at Holy Cross.  He says “I always loved volunteering with my mom, whether it was teaching Sunday school, or bringing back the R.O.C.K. for younger children or creating giant VBS sets with the whole family. Some of my favorite memories at Holy Cross have been helping out and hanging out with our youth. Whether it is teaching a lesson for the R.O.C.K. or being goofy on stage for VBS; the kids have always been there to lighten my spirits.”

This summer Carson will be working at KinderCare during the week and Camp WAPO on the weekends.  He will be attending Minnesota State University Moorhead in the fall and plans on studying early education in hope to pursue his goal of becoming a youth minister.

You can see why Carson has also been selected to receive the 2015 Holy Cross Scholarship.

Linda Molitor, Luther Seminary

I continue to love Holy Cross Lutheran and all the wonderful people here. The congregation has been so supportive of my education with funds which have helped with book costs and given me some great learning opportunities.

I have especially appreciated the open honesty from people in providing information I’ve utilized in projects for class. It is great to be able to pair book learning to real life applications and people.

Thank you for walking with me on this vocational journey. I look forward to seeing where the Holy Spirit leads us in my continuing development and Holy Cross’ growth.
