Rally Day is Sunday, September 12th! Join us for our new worship schedule, with services at 9:00am and 10:30am, with Sunday School at 9:15. At 11:30 following the second service, there will be a gathering for everyone. The Holy Cross Women's Group will be serving tacos in a bag for lunch. Please bring lawn chairs and lawn games, like bocce ball, ladder golf, or bean bag toss and we will kick off the year with an afternoon of fun! We will also have our 5th annual classic car & vehicle corral in the parking lot. Tip jars determine trophy awards - proceeds fight malaria in Africa. All are welcome! H2H CONFIRMATION BEGINS IN SEPTEMBER
6-8th Grade Confirmation Kick Off will be Wednesday, September 15th 6:30 p.m. We’ll have some time for fun and getting acquainted; answer any questions you might have about confirmation, the acolyte program, retreats, camp, etc. Parents and students are expected to attend this event. You should bring your registration for H2H if you have not already. 9th Grade H2H meets with parents on Wednesday, September 8th at 7:00 pm.
RUSH~~~~Middle School Sunday Mornings!!
Have you ever just wanted to ask God a question? I mean, face to face, asking God’s advice on how to handle a decision you have to make, or God’s reasoning behind free will? Ever thought of how the conversation would go if God showed up at school in person and started making suggestions on how to live your life? TANZANIA MISSION TRIP
Our Mission Team arrived home safely on July 3rd from Iringa, Tanzania Participants are: Sarah Lipker, Diane Boonstra, Roxanne Choulock, and Pastor John, Sandy, Bethany and Nathan Stiles. NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are in need of volunteers for our beautifully re-decorated nursery. The church is growing with little ones who would prefer to play than sit through a worship service. THE ROCK
The ROCK program is looking for new leadership for the fall. This is a Wednesday evening program that serves kindergarten through 5th graders. The program team consists of 8-10 older teens that do most of the leading. The best scenario would be a co-leadership…….for 2 adults to be working together, providing supervision and guidance. If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity to serve and work with the kids, please contact Sandy Stiles at 651-779-3672.
FAMILY 2 FAMILY
Family 2 Family is currently looking for items for families who need a little help right now. Non perishables or gift cards would be great. If you bought gift cards from the Tanzania group you would not only be helping the Tanzania group, but you could donate them to the Family 2 Family program and be helping them as well. Cub, Target, Rainbow gifts cards would be great. (Please keep them to smaller amounts $10-$20 so we can spread them out). COMMONBOND VOLUNTEERS
Common Bond Communities offers many opportunities for people who are looking for ways to be a blessing to others. Opportunities include working with youth of various ages. If you prefer working with adults and/ or seniors, teaching basic computer skills or how to use the Internet, this may be for you. Or, maybe you would like to assist English learners improve their language skills or assist other who are preparing for their citizen ship exam.
