SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
The office hours for the summer (June thru August) will be:  Monday thru Thursday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and Friday 7:00 am to 2:00 pm

WORSHIP IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Worship with us this summer in the beautiful amphitheatre on the west side of the church.  Join us for great music and message.  Seating on the benches is limited so bring your lawn chairs or blankets just in case. Mark you calendars for the following Sundays:
Aug 17th           8:15 and 10 am
We will need help with set up (early at 7 am) and tear down (after 2nd service) for band equipment and sound.  Please call, Yvonne O’Brien at (651) 739-1912, if you are able to help.

H2H KICKOFF
Guest speaker/author, Julia Dinsmore, will be our keynote speaker at Confirmation Kickoff on Wed, Sep. 10th. 6:00 pm H2H registration, 7:00 p.m. speaker.   Parents and students are invited to attend.
9th grade kickoff, Wed, Sep 3rd at 9 p.m.

F.A.C.E. (Families Affected by Cancer Embrace)
Are you one of those families who have been touched by cancer?  Do you have a mom, dad, sister or brother who is fighting cancer or has battled cancer?  Have you heard about others in our community who are going through the same things you are and would just like someone to talk to and put a FACE to the names you keep hearing about?  If you have said yes to any of these them maybe this group will be for you.  It will be held the last Tuesday of the month from 6:00 – 7:30 pm here at Holy Cross.  If you would like more information about this, please contact Kristi Schaut @651-777-5167.

TANZANIA MISSION TRIP
We are in the early stages of planning a mission trip to visit our partner congregation in Ikengeza in 2010. Our first meeting showed a lot of enthusiasm and interest in the trip.  The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 22nd at 7 p.m.  If you are interested in going to Tanzania or would just like to find out more, you are welcome to attend the next meeting.  You can also speak with Sarah Lipker at 793-5283 to receive updates.

NEW SUMMER Milkcap/Boxtop/UPC Contest
How Hot Will it Get This Summer? Watch the thermometer raise as we collect milkcaps, boxtops and UPC's.  
Can we get to 2500˚ in milkcap degrees? Remember to put your name and phone number on entries with 10 or more items. You will be entered into a drawing for a gas card or Dairy Queen gift card!

DONATE YOUR OLD CELL PHONES TO THE YOUTH!
You can recycle used cell phones in the wooden box in the hallway at church!  GRC Recycling will give us money for each phone we turn in.  Over time we can use those funds to help refurbish our youth room (A/V equipment, furniture, etc.).  Contact Pastor John for more information, then go looking through your junk drawer and bring in those old cell phones.  You’ll be helping our youth and the environment!  Thank You!

OPPORTUNITY FOR SERVICE HOURS
The Crazy People have loads of fun performing for the H2H students on Wednesdays throughout the year.  It only takes about 1 hour.  Any adult or high school student can join us!  High school students can use this volunteer time toward service hours such as National Honor Society, and on scholarship and college applications!  Contact Kathy Fluegel at 651-501-2749 or kmyfluegel@comcast.net for more info.
